We needed to pour some more concrete to finish the stream in my parent's back yard, but considering the previous weather and the dark sky (going from ash grey to jet black clouds) we didn't dare risk it.
So of course, it's the one day it never rained. Of course, if we HAD mixed the concrete it WOULD have rained. In the Northwest you actually have that kind of power over the weather...
The fam is back from Portland! We're together again for the first time... (and wait until we get back to see what I mean...)
Mom asked me when we were heading back to Orlando and cried when I gave her the answer. :(
I never would have guessed this could go so fast...
A week and a half before driving back. !

Hey Rob and Lynette,
It's so good to hear all that is going on in your lives. We miss you! I've been walking lately (surprise!) and noticed that your yard looks like it's getting eaten up by something. Is someone taking care of your yard while you're away? If so, I'll call them for you, if not, would you want us to get Al Kubik to take a look at it?
Is it a big dog?
No, oh, well then... I'll wait until we get home. Thanks though.
hahaha. i think it's more like the weather has the power and just lets you think that...
it seems to fit the attitude of weather up there.
Okay! Have a safe trip home, if I don't talk to you before then.
Hey guys!
Sounds like you're having fun dodging rain drops!!!
I was actually wondering the same thing Debi was about your yard! I am clueless when it comes to this kinda stuff, so I have no idea if it's all the cars we've parked on the grass from all the parties or the fact that the fire from the bar-b-q pit reached a little farther than we intended or that the horses we're keeping for Kathy Morgan got hungrier than we anticipated...regardless of the reason, it's a little brown.
Bless Al for mowing the lawn!!! He and Ed are the bomb-diggity as Valerie would say! :)
See you soooooooooooon!
Jenn
