True to form, the weather was hot the day we got here, then quickly converted to cold and wet.

You'd think, but the rain and mist pretty much obscures them.

We went up to my alma mater, Western Washington University, yesterday. It's a beautiful college nestled amidst evergreens and hillsides. The entire city has gone over to pay parking, though, and I had no change, so we just drove around and marveled at how the college town has grown into a major port city.

Very cool.

Hey guys,

Bekah just found out about Rainey and is so sad. We'll keep on praying for you guys...

How did it go the other night with Lynette's family? Been keeping you in prayer about that too...

Love ya,
Susan

Hey Swansons - I am crying at the news and precious picture of Rainey. How heartbreaking! Give the kids a hug for me. I am happy you made it safely otherwise. Would love to hear more details of how things are going! The neighborhood is holding together well while you're away. Haven't heard any wild music late at night coming from your homestead. But then, the a/c is ON....j/k.
