True to form, the weather was hot the day we got here, then quickly converted to cold and wet.

You'd think, but the rain and mist pretty much obscures them.

We went up to my alma mater, Western Washington University, yesterday. It's a beautiful college nestled amidst evergreens and hillsides. The entire city has gone over to pay parking, though, and I had no change, so we just drove around and marveled at how the college town has grown into a major port city.

Very cool.

Hey Swansons - I am crying at the news and precious picture of Rainey. How heartbreaking! Give the kids a hug for me. I am happy you made it safely otherwise. Would love to hear more details of how things are going! The neighborhood is holding together well while you're away. Haven't heard any wild music late at night coming from your homestead. But then, the a/c is ON....j/k.
